Season 5, Episodes 22-26

Final post, finishing off the run . . .

Smartacus (Episode 22)

The "Roman Baths", an interesting blend of old and new architecture.

This is actually the Mark Taper Forum in L.A.

What's It All About Algie? (Episode 23)

The fertilizer hit a CBS fan.

Hello Columbus, Goodbye America (Episode 24)

A very fancy looking museum building.

This is actually the Pacific Union Club in San Francisco.

Max and 99 admire a Van Gogh.

The real one looks a little different.

Another Dulles image with the Opel.

Today.

Lots more travel posters in this episode. New Orleans and Paris here.

Full New Orleans poster.

Full Paris poster.

Chile (along with Gemini reading a prop magazine).

Full poster.

Holland.

Full poster.

Norway and India posters.

Norway.

India.

Another interesting looking KAOS headquarters.

Do I Hear a Vaults? (Episode 25)

See Revolutionary Art Exhibit. Mentions real Black Power artists Emory Douglas and Elaine Brown.

This episode famously re-uses the downtown LA scene in The Treasure of C. Errol Madre. However, some of the shots are different in this episode. Here is a great shot of the Orpheum Theater.

As late as 2015 the Optometric Eye Institute with a similar glasses sign was still there.

Today that business is gone.

Later we pass the Forum Cafeteria, 620 S. Broadway.

Same spot today.

At one point in the truck window there is the reflection of a sign that says Times Furniture. There was a business with that name in L.A. but it was not near this area. Perhaps they had another location.

The establishing shots of the bank later in the episode are a different building from the one at the beginning of the scene.

This bank was Security National Bank. Now the Los Angeles Theatre Center.

Some prison shots in this episode, starting with an exterior.

Tug of war on a baseball field.

Prison guard on patrol.

I am Curiously Yellow (Episode 26)

Wing Woh Lung in New York's Chinatown, corner of Bayard and Mott in New York's Chinatown. Phillies truck rolling by.

Today.
