Smart Fell on Alabama (episode 6)
Like Schwartz's Island, this episode was partly filmed at the Gilligan's Island lagoon.
Col Kirby's plantation house is the Dunleith Historic Inn in Natchez, MS.
Here it is today.
We get a close up of Max's wrist communicator at one point. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but a very interesting compass with city names is a part of it.
And Baby Makes Four - Part I (episode 7)
We've seen this road in previous seasons; somewhat new look to get the Opel in there.
Next we see the Opel drive past this structure. Interesting building, presumably in DC but I don't know where.
All of the other driving scenes in these two episodes take place at CBS Studios, and we see a lot of the backlot, both residential and commercial. Sometimes we even see locations that clearly are just studio backlot, like this one. In this scene the image is actually reversed, with the bump on the hood that is in front of the passenger seat appearing to be in front of the driver.
Interesting that the backlot has a pharmacy with a real Coca-Cola sign for added veracity!
Yet another episode with a slightly different version of a shot that I believe is from the inside of LAX.
The stakeout scene begins with a callback to the very first scene in a Get Smart episode, the Capitol at night.
Not sure what this location is, but there appear to be palm trees making L.A. more likely than D.C.
A Red Cross poster outside the coffee shop.
I couldn't find the exact same poster, but this one has all of the same elements.
What to Name Your Child ? 99 had this book in Widow Often Annie. Getting a closer look here, with the tape on the binding I wonder if this was even a real book, or just something kludged together out of different parts of other books.
The brief flashbacks during Simon the Likeable's trial have a lot interesting shots. Starting off with the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.
Best I could get for today from Google Maps.
The safecracking stock shot just looks really cool.
Is the check possibly signed by art director Carl Braunger?
The bridge explosion looks like it might be a model. There is some weird glare in the upper left.
If you are curious, the dollar bill with Simon the Likeable is from 1965, with Treasurer Kathryn O'Hay Granahan and Secretary of the Treasury Henry Fowler.
This appears to be the headshot that the art department used to create the dollar bill.
Simon walks past a US Army recruiting poster.
Here is the full poster, from 1963.
A box of Johnson & Johnson bandages can be seen in the supply closet Max and 99 are locked into.
Here's a close-up look at one.
When "Max" falls through the closets it's pretty clearly a dummy when viewed in slow motion. Watch the legs swing wildly . . .
. . . and has gray arms!
A stock shot of a hospital, I don't know which one.
Check out the calendar by Miss Hoskins.
Here is an example of the calendar. The art is Whoa-a-a Boy by Duane Bryers.
